Abstract

A pilot study was conducted in an urban area to test modeling strategies for quantitative cumulative risk assessment involving emissions from coal-fired power plants.

Study hypothesis: The cumulative effect of social (non-chemical) stressors and exposures to urban air toxics increases the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality.
